How to provide random ID for a respondent?
Each response collected in the system receives a unique ID (token, pin) that can be used to identify respondent. It can be used to identify specific response in the system and this way manage collected data by providing information to the respondent or deleting the response.
Types of ID
You can use one of the IDs listed below.
{crk} | Custom Response Key (crk) is a survey ID managed by the user. e.g. ABCD1234 |
{rk} | Response Key (rk) is a survey ID managed by the system. e.g. 26857153 |
{rid} | Response ID (rid) is a survey ID managed by the system. e.g. 1daedb0e59137769 |
How to provide ID to respondent
You can provide ID to the respondent using a link or displaying it at the survey end.
Transfer with a link (URL) | You can add ID at the redirection link (URL) on the survey end. To do it go to the Collector settings by modifying Go to page (URL) link. |
Display at the survey end | You can display ID at the end of the survey on the survey “Thank you” page. To do it go to Languages / Collector section and edit “Thank you for completing the survey.” message. Then in the collector settings select On survey end : Display Thank you page. |

You can check IDs for collected responses in the survey report.
List of responses | In the Report / List of responses section. |
Data export | In the Detailed report downloaded in the CSV, Excel, or SPSS format. |
